Wildlife Trusts
Over the years I have worked with the Wildlife Trusts on a range of projects.
Through their 'Underwater Award' I learned to dive, drawing marine species in the North Sea, highlighting the micro-ecosystem that exists off the Flamborough Headland. Read more about this and my less than graceful diving experiences here.
Working with shellfishermen and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's Fisheries Officer, I created a wall installation at the Living Seas Centre (at South Landing) made from resin casts of lobsters and crabs, each specimen containing an object story relating their reproductive cycles, adaptations, literary references, folklore, habitats, prey or culinary usage.
